Book One: INSIDE THE WORLD OF INVESTMENT FRAUD, SCAMS AND
DECEPTIVE PRACTICES,and
Book Two: MASTERING THE WORLD OF INVESTMENT FRAUD, SCAMS
AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
This two-volume companion set is an outgrowth of conducting
seminars/symposiums for the past three decades in the Middle East and the
United States and of experiences the author gained while residing abroad.
Following is an outline to the organization of the books.
BOOK ONE: (Inside the World of Investment Fraud, Scams and
Deceptive Practices).
Citations
These are words, phrases and deceptive terms, conditions and procedures
used individually and in combination by fraudsters. Learning these alerts
the reader to be on guard and prepares him to be able to discern those
that are genuine from those that are presented in a fraudulent manner.
Media Reports
These are articles authored by prominent writers of the free press.
These articles address the issues of prime bank notes, debentures, bank
guarantees, high yield investments (HYI), medium term notes and roll
programs. The inclusion of these articles is a natural extension of the
Citations that appeared previously.
Litigations
If the reader is not convinced after reading the Citations and Media
Reports that fraudsters do victimize the innocent and uninformed with
scams and bogus investment offers, more than thirty actual litigations are
included as proof-positive that such activities not only exist but are
prevalent.
Where to Report Fraud and Scams
The names, addresses and contact phone numbers of numerous agencies and
where to report suspicious offers or individuals who are promoting such
offers.
Glossary of Terms
Terms not only relevant to these companion volumes but also those that
will be found in legitimate investment offers as well.
Acronyms
The abbreviations and acronyms used here are the common ones found in
similar studies and in relevant literature.
BOOK TWO: (Mastering the World of Investment Fraud, Scams
and Deceptive Practices.)
Four Praticums
These are actual investment proposals.
In Practicums One, Two and Three the reader is guided with Editor's
Notes that appear in the margin. These notes cross reference both books
and indicate clearly why certain statements in the investment proposal are
suspect or outright bogus.
In Practicum Four, the reader is on his own. He is to refer to that
which he has learned in Book One and rely on the experience he gained from
Practicums One, Two and Three.
Following the Four Practicums is a set of fifteen questions that have
been framed and derived from your readings. Text references to the sources
of these questions appear after each question as well as the author's
responses and where you could find the answer references to the questions.
Following this section are four serious, revealing yet entertaining
articles about fraud that took place inside banks. You will be
shocked by these stories. Albeit true, one shudders to think that fraud of
such magnitude can actually take place inside our banking system
today.
Both books are just $19.95 + shipping and handling.
